Founded in 2007 in the heart of Closter, NJ, Canine Wellness Center was born from a simple belief: that grooming and training should be stress-free, personalized, and rooted in genuine care for each pup's well-being.

Jan
Co-Founder & Head of Grooming Operations
Jan founded CWC in 2007 with a vision to create a place where every pup is treated with the utmost care, love, and respect they deserve. Committed to continually advancing her education, she has earned certifications including dog grooming, canine massage, and Pet First Aid CPR. Combined with extensive hands-on experience since 2003, she brings unmatched expertise and a genuine love for dogs. As the heart of CWC, Jan has played an essential role in guiding our team, inspiring our staff, and building lasting relationships with clients. Since 2007, she has earned a trusted reputation in our community for delivering exceptional, compassionate, and superior care.
Ingrid
Co-Founder, Head of Training Operations & Lead Mobile Groomer
Ingrid has been a valued part of CWC for over a decade. Her gentle approach, positive reinforcement training philosophy, and meticulous attention to detail have made her a favorite among our clients—especially senior and anxious pups who benefit from her calm, compassionate care. She holds professional certifications including CPDT-KA through Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers, CCDT through CATCH Canine Trainers Academy and is an approved evaluator with American Kennel Club. Ingrid also brings a diverse professional background in veterinary practice management, kennel operations, and business leadership, supported by a finance degree from New Jersey Institute of Technology. Her unique combination of compassion, education, and leadership continues to play an essential role in the growth of CWC and the trust we have built with our community.
